Didn't know if you were aware of this or not, Jean.

Last evening when I did a Google search for an old version of (SpyBot S.&D. v.1.4), I came across this one thread from here at MontanaMenagerie, but I'm not posting to that thread so as not to add this information to that thread.

Check out the 3rd item of the Google search, Jean. I have noticed Google, Yahoo Slurp & MSN as guests here on the site.

I had a special mod added to the forum specifically to show when the bots were on the site. So, yes I'm aware they crawl us. I didn't get the exact search results you did but sure nuff the thread you started about SBS&D is in the hits for version 1.4. :celb:

A few weeks ago, I did a Yahoo search on my Ham Radio call letters to see what was out there as to info connected to my call letters. I was so darn amazed as I uncovered information from back in 1960 (48 years ago) when stationed on the Island of Kume in the East China Sea while in the Air Force. There was an A.F. - Sgt. Ray Crites (ex. W7KYA then) and then later held call letters K1WW that made a post about my using the old military transmitters (Collins BC-610-I) that were huge crystal controlled "Boat Anchors" (few hundred pounds). Seems I got credited for the idea and my call letters were mentioned as the one that came up with the idea of using a Heathkit VFO (Variable Frequency Oscillator) to change frequency and "slide" across the 20 meter band to talk to the USA. Ray and I use to talk home to the USA and run phone patches. Back then Okinawa and the other small islands including Taiwan belonged to the U.S.A. and I had applied for the station permit and call letters KR6DO was assigned to us. Today the Island is a Japanese vacation resort.

I did a search of K1WW call letters and found out that he had passed away down in Virginia on 2/6/06 and his vanity call letters K1WW are now held by his son, Daniel that lives in Virginia, also.

I couldn't help but pass along that story, Gang.

:) I had no idea that Ray had mentioned the information on another site informing others on how we had modified the equipment. Someone else had asked the question on a forum and Ray using my call letters in his post placed it in Yahoo archives making it possible for me to view. Ray sure had a good memory to remember after all those years!

He sure did. And technology is amazing. Not too many years ago, all that info would still just be 'out there somewhere'. Pretty dang cool.
