I don't recall ever getting more than one a month, always with Patch Tues., but I got my notification for that one alone a couple days ago. As far as I can tell, it's legit but any reading I've done seems to say that MS "doesn't" release extra's. ???? Am I missing something? I've not installed it yet.

I checked and sure enough I had received another Windows MSRT update for the month of April showing (Hidden) in my Task Bar (Windows XP).

I went to MS Windows Update site and selected Custom and it came up as being "High Priority". You should always download and install "High Priority" and also "Important" and "Critical" Windows Updates. The download and install took very long, but it is not appearing anymore in my Task Bar after installing it. (I didn't know if they had a new or corrected version out or not, so I installed it.)

I've talked to others that hid (via Custom) the MSRT update only to find out the size of the update was larger if they hid it for a while. Seems with them updating it monthly, the size increases if your not running it on a monthly basis. It certainly will not be of any harm running it for a second time in a month as you can manually run the MSRT update.

I checked CNET Forum today and they had a link that explained the reason for the repeat of the MSRT Windows Update.

Thanx for reply Ron. I see from my "little 'puter calendar" laying on my desk that I did do the MSRT later that afternoon.

I find it kinda sad that the only new posts since I posted 4/28, have pretty much been related to racing, not otherwise 'puter related. I s'pose that's a good thing tho' if it means that no one is having problems.

You're bound & determined that I need to shed this damn yellow streak & get into FB aren't you. LOL . Seriously tho' I really have been thinking about it more lately so might as well give it a shot, can't do anything outside anyway. This rain & cold is really getting old!! Then come July, August when it's 110 degrees in the shade, we won't get a damn drop.
